Musky, gingery aromas of grapefruit and lemon oil. Less fat and slightly less sweet than the '97, with a bit more acidity. Nicely balanced wine, if less rich in extract than the above. This is still holding a lot of carbonic gas despite having recently been pre-filtered. Not quite on form today, but seems less long than the '97.
